Ferry to Jeju
Ferry services to the UNESCO designated World Natural Heritage Site Jeju-do Island are available 3~6 times a week departing from Incheon, Busan and Mokpo. The ferry not only carries passengers, but cars as well, making it possible for travelers to take their vehicles on their trip.
A trip on the ferry allows tourists to enjoy the beautiful ocean scenery along with its magnificent sunrises and sunsets. The ferry services offer a variety of pricing options for a convenient and comfortable trip to Jeju-do Island. Ferry information to Jeju is as follows: |
•Departure Procedure |
1) Since it is domestic travel, check-in procedures are quite simple. Walk-on passengers are simply asked to arrive at the passenger terminal at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Those passengers with vehicles are asked to arrive at the appropriate departure gate at least 30 minutes before departure for note issuance and boarding.
2) Visitors with outgoing plane tickets may shop at the duty-free shops available at select terminals, but are advised to complete boarding procedures an hour before the departure time as duty-free shops can only be entered after they have been completed. Credit cards as well as American dollars and Japanese Yen are accepted.
Although there are a variety of restaurants and coffee shops located inside the ship, visitors might wish to bring along some snacks as the prices are higher on-board. Public telephones are available on some of the ships, and cellular phones can be used when close to the coast.
