I've been taking guitar lessons for the last three weeks. When I went to my friends Sam and Young-Sook's Wedding, they had a band playing and I asked the guitar player for some guitar lessons. These lessons have been totally intense. He's teaching me some serious music theory while teaching me the guitar. It's very frustrating, because I can't do these simple things he asks me to do, but at the same time, it's absolutely fantastic. In the end, it's kicking my butt. It seems like I spend so much time practicing. I love it though and I hope to get better soon!
Rock on dude!

Mia,
ReplyDeleteThe internet or a trip to seoul is the most recommended way to buy a guitar. There's a few music stores in Jeju-si. The one I visit most is Mr. Song's on Jungangno(sp?), one block north of City Hall. However all guitars are overpriced and expensive on Jeju. My teacher recommended a couple of internet sites. I'll post those here on Monday. Do you live in Jeju?

hey dan,
ReplyDeletei'll be taking a vacation next week in seoul and i'm currently searching the internet for places there where i can find reasonably priced guitars (i've found out that some famous brands have factories there), but I can't find any info. I just want to ask if you can recommend a store? I'm not yet sure but I think we will be staying in a downtown hotel.
Thanks!
fred
sorry fred, i don't live in seoul. I don't know any stores up there. good luck!
